Nice little meter for general household use but there are a few things to consider. The display is plenty big but when viewed from a positive angle (eye above display) it starts to fade and looses contrast very quickly. When on a bench, tilted back on it's stand, it is angled back enough to be okay though. Also, the current and capacitance ranges don't go very low. On the side, the auto ranging and min/max work great , back light is helpful, the leads are very robust, and auto sleep helps save the batteries as I often forget to turn mine off. These are great little meters, just read the specs closely so see if they are right for your application.

Im working on a robotics project using several motors and servos. I purchased the Fluke 115 DMM to measure to current drawn by each motor, servo, led, etc. to determine the optimal battery based on current and operating time. This DMM easily captures individual component current and total system current. Checking/verifying diodes,led's in breadboard layouts speeds prototyping. This is an excellent and versatile DMM for the price.

I purchased a Fluke 114 DMM from TEquipment several years ago and it has functioned flawlessly, I expect the Fluke 115 to give me many years of flawless service. Because of their product selection, pricing, and customer service I keep coming back to TEquipment.

Advice to other buyers, if you think there is any chance that you would be using the meter to work on household electrical system, then there is a chance you could encounter stray or ghost voltages. Best to go ahead to spend the extra $20 (as of July 2015 here) and get the 117 model instead. Even if it is for one time only, it would be too late and frustrating to find out later that you could use the LoZ Volt feature.

The meter is the standard Fluke quality. I own several Fluke products and the only thing I don't like about this meter is the LCD viewing angle. Whenever you get just above a straight on (0 degree) viewing angle the display is not as sharp. Below the 0 degree angle it is fine, but above it gets a little harder for old eyes to see!! Other than that, great little meter.

This is a good all around volt meter. I am a gate operator installer. One minute, I may have to check the incoming 240 VAC on a commercial operator. The next minute, I may have to calibrate the charging circuit within a tenth of an amp on a 12 VDC powered residential operator. Or I may need to check for shorted capacitors and diodes on the control board. This meter does everything I need reliably and accurately. I would be lost without it.
