It gets hot and sucks, what more do you need?
5.0
If you have the hakko desoldering tool that uses these, and 808 in my case, this will work a treat. Don't try to change them when the tool is hot as the heat will completely seize up the nut retaining nut that you put on just finger tight. After it cools, it comes right off with only your fingers. If you use it a lot and need to change tips often, better to buy a second tool than constantly change tips. What do you say about desoldering tips? They won't last as long as you like because of all the abrasion sliding them over pins with sharp edges, but a tool that uses these will save your hide every time you plug it in.
