Loses accuracy over time

When first purchased it was quite accurate. Now a few years later it is way off (yes it does have a new battery). A cup of boiling water only registered 180 degrees. Body temp was 10 degrees low. Still useful for finding hot or cold spots, but useless otherwise.

Bad product for accuracy

Had another brand and dropped it. Found this brand a local hardware store and decided to try it. Returned the first one and the second because they were both at least 6 to 9 degrees off. I do not recommend it.
