For years I had used an ancient analog multi-meter, and when it died I went for a cheap replacement, thinking that it would last as long as I would.
Wrong. Two years and it was dead, and for much of that time unreliable. Enough; said I, and ordered a Fluke 177. It has all the features I need and is rock-solid. I plan to put it in my will.
