Megohmmeter (Analog, 500V, 1000V, Resistance, Continuity)
The True Megohmmeter Model 1015 is a compact, self-contained, battery-operated megohmmeter. This practical, dependable and rugged tester can be used for a broad range of plant and field service applications; it is designed for use in harsh environments such as mining, industrial, offshore and commercial electrical.
Model 1015 permits insulation resistance testing at 500V and 1000V, and resistance measurements up to 1000Ω. These tests are completed with a constant test voltage across the measurement range. The Model 1015 is an analog instrument with four easy-to-read scales. The megohm scale is an easy-to-read log scale graduated from 0.1 to 1000MΩ (yellow background). The ohm scale is linear with a range from 0 to 10Ω (white background).
The AC voltage scale is linear with a range of 0 to 600VAC (white background). The colored battery scale displays in green for a good battery and in red for a battery in need of replacement. A built-in battery tester is provided by simply pressing the yellow push button when the selector switch is in the OFF position. A voltmeter (safety check) with a range of 0 to 600VAC is standard. Two polarity continuity ranges provide the operator with a very versatile instrument that will handle numerous testing applications. The constant test voltage and dual polarity continuity range comply with international testing standards. Continuity tests are administered with a test current of 200mA.
Model 1015 is supplied with a carrying case, shockproof rubber housing, two color-coded leads, a black test probe, a red alligator clip, a spare fuse, and batteries.
