Parallax
Definition: A distortion that is created by looking at an object from an angle.
Parallel
Definitioned: An electrical circuit that has two or more current paths and where each path has only one resistance.
Path
Definition: The route current flows in a circuit.
Peak Value (p)
Definition: The maximum positive or negative value of a current or voltage.
Peak-to-peak (p-p)
Definition:The total value from the positive peak to the negative peak of a current or voltage.
Period
Definition: The time interval of one complete cycle of current or voltage.
Phase
Definition: The relative difference in degrees between a waveform and some reference.
Picoammeter
Definition: An ammeter with the function of an electrometer. A picoammeter is similar to an electrometer due to its low voltage, similar speed (some are faster), less sensitivity, and lower price. Special characteristics of a picoammeter include: logarithmic response and built in voltage source.
Polarity
Definition: A reference to what charge an object has. (Positive or Negative)
Positive(+)
Definition: A charged object that has a deficiency of electrons.
Potentiometer
Definition: A three terminal adjustable resistor.
Power
Definition: The unit used with energy usage.
Power Supply
Definition: A separate unit or the section of a product that furnishes the necessary power to operate the device.
Primary Winding
Definition: The input winding which is connected to the power line in a power transformer.
Printed Circuit Board(PCB)
Definition: An insulated board that has copper strips for conductors. Components are attached through holes and soldered in place.
