EDU Customer Testimonials

"We find the use of the Rigol MSO5072 to be an excellent match to educational needs for a high performance unit at a cost where the price to performance point is affordable for our needs. The intuitive nature and esthetic appeal of the scope combined with the many options available allow us to quickly engage students in high speed testing. The ability to both use it stand-alone as well as display it on a large screen via HDMI and have computer control allows rapid classroom use for both students and instructors. We are very pleased with the unit so far and have already ordered more units."

- Philip Lubin

Professor, Physics Deptartment, UC Santa Barbara

"...the students used the [RIGOL] function generator and scope, and they built passive filters on a breadboard. Both units worked well. Later the students used the [DP832] DC Power Supply and [DS1054Z] scope in a lab where they built a signal conditioning circuit for a VR sensor. The DC Power supply was super easy to set and use...We will be using the function generators and scopes in the coming weeks. They will make a virtual oscilloscope with LabVIEW, they will demonstrate aliasing, and they will do FFT’s and inverse FFT’s."

- Joseph Shakal Ph.D.

Agricultural Engineering Dept. Chair, Univ. of Wisconsin-River Falls

"The Rigol oscilloscopes and signal generators are being used in our Electrical and Computer Engineering senior design lab, where we typically work on mechatronics projects with embedded hardware. Students use PC-based solutions, such as NI Elvis, in most of the lower level labs, so we felt it was important to make sure that students are familiar with and can work with a traditional oscilloscope before they graduate. The 4-channel Rigol scopes have been working out well in the course. Students use them for a variety of troubleshooting tasks for both analog and digital hardware."

- Richard Groff

Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Clemson Univ.
