Pelican is an American company founded in 1976 by Dave Parker. Parker was an avid scuba diver and saw a need for durable flashlights and watertight, durable cases. Today they are owned by Behrman Capital. They offer cases and flashlights that are used widely today in firefighting, police, military, aerospace, entertainment, industrial, and consumer markets. These products are designed to never need replacing: the first Pelican case or light you buy should be the only one of that kind you ever buy.
