Ideal is perhaps best known for its wire connectors, which have been used around the world in practically every industry since their introduction in 1929. The company's hand tools are also so popular that almost every commercial jet in the skies today was assembled with Ideal wire strippers. Even NASA used Ideal products in the lunar landing module which made the journey to the moon. If all that wasn't enough, Ideal fuse pullers were specifically requested by Commander Richard Byrd for an early expedition to the South Pole. Today, Ideal boasts a line of over 6,000 products for electrical and datacomm professionals.
