Fixed Gas Detectors

Multi Zone Gas Detectors are designed to monitor gases at several locations and report back to a central station. Remote locations may optionally have local displays. Single Zone models are stand alone.

For dangerous gases, gas detectors will have audible and visible alarms. Fixed mount units would include relays to trip equipment, close valves, etc. to return to safe conditions.

Today’s gas detectors can have multiple gas detectors for detection of several gases. Knowledge of the application and desired gases is key in model selection.

Frequent calibration is also important. Gas detectors drift, so most manufacturers recommend monthly calibrations or at least calibration checks. Make sure to read and follow the manufacturer instructions with each instrument.

Combustion Analyzers are a special type of gas detection equipment. They are is ideal for professionals concerned about combustion efficiency, environmental compliance, or both. It enables plant maintenance engineers and managers, industrial boiler/furnace service technicians, energy coordinators, compliance officers, environmental auditors and safety managers ensure that industrial equipment is burning efficiently while environmental regulations are being met.
