I have been using the Hakko 801, and it's a great air station. However, the Weller WHA900 is even better. What I mean is they both work very well for SMC, BGA and more. The Weller just has a feel to it. The pump ramps up in the way you would expect a jet motor you accelerate. I feel as if has more power and force behind it when needed. I'm not knocking the Hakko though I would recommend that one as well. However, it took about 1-1/2 months to get this item from Tequipment. Hakko was on back order. Tequipment did, however, do everything they could to get me my air station. The email and called me back promptly as I communicated with them. It was my mistake as I did not pay attention if this item was in stock or not when I purchased it. The Weller WHA900 purchased was my first purchase with Tequipment, I have bought from them many times now. It's been about four months since I bought the Weller. If you need an air station that will hold its own with the big boy's and do the job quickly and efficiently. Well, this is the one!

Good sturdy rework tool

I like wha900 hot air station it is compact but powerful tool. Did some repair work with it and it performed as expected. Cons it would be nice to have at least one general purpose nozzle included for instance NR05. I use 4mm nozzles most of the time. And if you have LED lights in your lab, expect that they would flicker while you use station. I recommend this tool for professional use.

i purchased the weller Hot Air Rework Station With Internal Pump and for the past week i used it to remove and micro solder components for smart phones. the control knobs instead of digital control also made it efficient as i didn't have to stop to control temperature and wind speed during operation. i have owned few weller soldering irons for years now and if this hot gun is as durable and long lasting as the irons? i say it was worth every penny. i just wish the nozzle attachment wasn't so expensive and didn't like the fact no attachment is included. besides that i am happy with the purchase.

I suppose there is a better hot air station out there, but I can't imagine how. I ordered it with a 4mm tip and it works fine for all but the smallest components.
I tried it with the temp maxxed and the air at minimum for small tightly spaced components and it held temp fine. It has plenty of horsepower for larger packages.
I should also note that it comes with a handpiece holder that screws to either side of the machine, even though it doesn't show it in the product picture. It's the same holder that is shown on Louis Rossmann's youtube review.
I'm very satisfied with this tool.

WHA900 Hot Air Station

I have been using my new WHA900 and it is fantastic, the quick power on toggle is great to quickly turn unit on and off. I am finally getting the heat and air mixture for any job I need to do this is a great product and I would recommend this to anyone doing component level circuit board repair!!!

Great rework station

Got this station to do rework on various electronic PCBs. Use it to remove anything from the tiniest capacitors on a macbook motherboard, to hdmi ports on game console and tv boards. Heats fast, heats accurately, and has a very high airflow. Great product and glad I chose this one over others.
