Quick installation replacement for original Weller iron element .. works very well! Saved a bundle compared to a new soldering station. Make sure to order the associated sleeve (BA60), since the original sleeve will NOT fit over the newer heater element.

This may require a new barrel nut assembly

The three star rating is due to a design change from a unknown period ago that slightly increased the diameter of the heater by .5mm. Worse yet, the model number was the same as the original from 15-20 years ago. The size increase was just enough that the original barrel nut assembly would not slide over the replacement heater. There was no mention of this here or on Weller's site that there was a design change. Both items have the original part numbers. I had to place an additional order for what should of been the unnecessary barrel nut assembly (BA60), but T Equipment did forgo the additional shipping charge.

My soldering station heating element was not heating. When I found the heating element online here, there was an engineering note that the sleeve had also been changed, and to order that part also. They were exactly correct. The original heating element used a smaller sleeve. The replacement heating element required the newer sleeve. I am a very happy customer. The replacement parts were less than 1/4 of replacing what the other companys were suggesting. I'll be back!
