Dispersing Tool, Fine Emulsions Liquid-Liquid and Suspensions Solid-Liquid for OV625
The Velp Scientifica D20-S25F-P-R25M is an OV 625 dispersing tool for particularly fine emulsions (liquid-liquid) and suspensions (solid-liquid). The Velp dispersing tools are manufactured with stainless steel (316L) and a PTFE seal to be chemically compatible with different samples and reagents.
A dispersing tool consists of a rotor which rotates at high speed within a stationary stator. The region between the rotor tip and stator gap is called the shear gap. Due to the high circumferential speed, the medium is drawn axially into the dispersion head and then forced radially through the slots in the shear gap, breaking the particles.
