The good: It works fine, has acceptable ripple. The bad: It produces a really annoying high frequency noise, I can't work with it. Measuring with the cellphone I found 10 kHz components, I guess it is its switching frequency. The output voltage only reaches 24.5 V, but it's not a problem for me. In general, I would recommend it, but that noise makes it impossible to work with it.

Got this for $50; as others say, nothing special, no-frills but does the job as a bare-bones constant current or constant voltage power supply with fine and course controls. The manual that came with it referenced items not included (it talked about a ground jack which doesn't exist, and a couple other discrepancies) but the unit is easy to figure out. Good internal construction techniques. Great as a secondary lab bench power supply or as a primary hobbyist supply. Small and compact.

Wanted a decent bench power supply. This one was a great price and will for my needs. Was a little surprised it did not come with any leads. Wouldn't be an issue of it was binding posts, but it's not. Also there is no way to preset the current limiting without shorting the leads out. Seems like a very crude way to do it. It does work though.
