The UDP6700-series DC power supplies have a compact form factor and are available in multiple voltage, current, and power outputs. They support RS232 communication via a rear connector and can be remotely controlled using the SCPI (standard commands for programmable instruments) protocol. List and delayer functions are used to set up testing programs specifying current and voltage parameters, their duration, and a power-down command. Remote compensation maintains accurate testing by avoiding voltage drop on the load line.

The UDP6700 series provides remote compensation terminals on the rear of the power supply. Connect S+ and S- to the load. The UDP6700 will recognize the load voltage and compensate as appropriate.

Use computer software and an RS232 connection to control the UDP6700 series via the SCPI (standard commands for programmable instruments) protocol. Statistics can be monitored to explore changing trends during use.

Simply long press the “V” and “A” buttons to bring up overvoltage and overcurrent settings. Once enabled, the power supply will trigger an alarm and halt output to protect the device under test. The instrument is also equipped with an intelligent adjustable fan, and overtemperature protection will engage if the temperature rises too high.
