Benchtop Blower Ptec IN5140

The Ptec IN5140 68KHz AC benchtop air ionizer is a small, efficient static elimination device with variable fan speed for protecting electronic components and general static protection. Using AC corona technology, to make the air more conductive, Ptec ionizers produce a balanced stream of positive and negative air ions that never need calibration. These devices are used in many industries and manufacturing applications where static electricity is a problem.

Maintenance Friendly Ionizer

The IN5140 requires minimal service and maintenance and was designed to make it as simple as possible. The removable grills and the replaceable filter on the IN5140 simplifies emitter maintenance and tool downtime.

Removeable Emitter Point Array

The IN5140 features a “quick-lock” emitter point array that is easily removed by rotating the point base in a clockwise direction. Quickly replace the entire array or replace individual emitter points.

The IN5140 ionizer controls and indicators are prominently located on the front top panel of the ionizer. The ionizer is designed with a feedback circuit that constantly checks for errors and will alarm if there are issues. The ionizer monitors the following functions:

• Fan Function
• Adjustment Limiting Design Locks in Correct Air Flow for Each Application.

The IN5140 has a recessed fan adjustment knob which limits the ability to adjust the fan speed of the ionizer. Set the ionizer to the desired settings for your application without worrying that someone will change the settings. This will eliminate operators turning down the fan speed and putting sensitive components at risk.

A specialized piezoelectric high voltage transformer makes Ptec ionizers among the most reliable ionizers manufactured. Small, lightweight and stable, Ptec products are designed to remain in balance and to alarm when the HV output affects performance. The model IN5110 benchtop static eliminator produces a 68KHz AC output of approximately 2200V and a continuous stream of balanced air ions. Ionizers that use Ptec technology do not require calibration and only minimal maintenance.

Power Requirements

The IN5140 can work on all power circuits, from 100-240 volts, without any adjustments. This means the standard ionizer can be used in many different countries and power circuits and performance will not be affected.

Verification and Calibration:

The IN5140 ionizer comes factory calibrated and with a calibration certificate. Ionizer performance can be tested and verified with a charge plate monitor. Important tests to perform are positive and negative decay times and ion balance. It is recommended to test ionizer performance at least 1 per year.
