Ultra-low temperature freezers are specialized pieces of equipment for laboratory grade storage, providing temperatures down to -86°C. Products in this category are appropriate for use with COVID-19 vaccine. To simplify the selection process, this department contains the most common configurations of Thermo Scientific’s TSX and RDE product series, in both 115V/60Hz and 208-230V/60Hz. There are several other options available, including CO2 and liquid nitrogen backup, access card entry and more. However, the items listed in this department are the base model freezers. If you require these additional options, we do have them available. The TSX series is a premium grade product with high energy efficiency, leading to lower power costs. TSX carries the Energy Star certification, generates very little noise and also generates a low amount of heat, to reduce strain on your facility’s HVAC system. The RDE series is a standard grade product and is less energy efficient than the TSX, which will create higher power consumption. The chart below provides an overview of models in this department.
