Tektronix TBS1052C - Digital Storage Oscilloscope (50 MHz, 1 GS/s)

Tektronix TBS1052C

4.0

Very nice compact scope. These smaller compact scopes [that I believe Tektronix builds in China] are most interesting and getting familiar to the functional controls [compared to other Tektronix scopes] is a bit of a challenge, but in the end it's worth it and the price is right. I Just received the new TBS1052C a few days ago so I am not completely up-to-speed on all of its' functions. Its' been several years since I gave up on my vintage Tektronix Model 453 50 MHz portable dual-trace scope which served me for many years until it got tired of getting bounced around on service calls. Initially I've used the new TBS1052C to monitor what vendors of power inverters classify as True Sine-Wave inverters. Not certain about all inverter models on the market, but for the one I have at home, its' not exactly a complete true sine-wave output, if you like not having the tops of the sine-wave clipped. Anyway, the new scope completed its' first assignment and I am delighted and wait for other moments to use it -- once I completely read the robust user manual. BJC
