Great tool for pre-compliance testing

As others have mentioned, this is definitely not for making absolute measurements of radiated emissions. It's a great, cost-effective, compromise for when you don't have access to an anechoic chamber and all of the specialized antennas and test fixtures to do a proper measurement. I've found that this gives repeatable results, and can be a valuable tool for making iterative design improvements and getting a rough feel for the performance of your product. I easily spotted some surprising emissions from my design that would likely have caused it to fail EMC testing. TekBox did a great job packaging this TEM cell for shipping. They actually built a wooden frame inside the double-layered cardboard box to hold it firmly in place. Unfortunately, the package was banged around enough that the screws pulled out of the wooden frame. There was enough padding and other reinforcements in the packaging that there was still no damage.

Great tool for difficult measurements

As others have mentioned, this is definitely not for quantitative EMC measurements. Most people don't have an anechoic chamber laying around, with all of the required test fixtures, antenna arrays, etc., so this is about the best you can do for a very modest price. It can be used to spot possible trouble-areas that stand out above the other frequencies that might be an issue during certification. You can then use it to get a relative measurement of your product performance as you make revisions, since it does give you good repeatability. I've been very pleased with its performance, and have identified some unexpected possible issues with my product. TekBox went to great lengths to protect this TEM cell from shipping damage since its shape is tuned fairly precisely. They built a wooden frame inside the box to hold the parts securely (that you have to assemble yourself). For mine, the package was banged around enough that the frame came apart and let go of the parts. There was enough other redundant, nested packing material that there was still no damage to the parts.
