These are a good value for the price. The end of the alligator that makes the push-fit connection to the test probe is a simple crimp of the handle end of the alligator clip into a shape that accepts a standard-size round probe tip. The push fit is pretty tight, and the hole in the crimped end is small, so care is needed when inserting the probe to both get the probe tip aligned with and into the hole in the clip, and then to push carefully but firmly to get the clip and probe tip fully engaged without bending the alligator clip. The rubber boots are supple and cover the alligator clip fully but without excess overhang of the jaw end so that clipping onto the item under test is easy. The alligator clip jaws have reasonable spring tension and grip. Overall quite functional. I gave 4 stars because these are not quite as good as a decades-old set of clips that I have which have a round hard plastic collar around a spring-metal socket to receive the probe tip, which both guides the tip into the socket and makes a smooth fit with the perfect amount of tension; these clips are very quick to install and remove. Unfortunately I've never found anything like them. But these are good and I would recommend them.
