Pricey but worth it

Needed a DMM that measured down to pF. Tried a couple of other units from other sellers but no joy. So far I am pleased with this unit but it would be nicer if it measured up to a higher range. 10k uF is usually ok but occasionally I need higher (15k uF).

I'm very happy with this purchase. I am very impressed with the quality and performance of this multimeter. I spent months comparing this unit with similar units, most of which are less expensive, but also less in features. I use this at a Home/hobbyist workbench. And am very happy I spent a little extra, the build quality is top notch and performance is better than what I expected. I have been very happy with Siglent and TEquipment.

A pretty good DMM for this price

It does what it is expected to do. The Stat. function is very good. For example, you can choose the time span to do average, which is useful and not seen in most of other DMMs.

Good but has its bugs...

This is a good instrument for the price. Its certainly not a Agilent or Keithley but neither is the price tag! My biggest issue with the Siglent unit is its sometimes poor response time when pushing a button to go from one measurement type to another. There's too much of a delay which forces the need to push several times before the instrument response correctly. Maybe its a bug in their user interface code which a later firmware fix can address? I'm running the latest code downloaded from Siglent's website.

Superb Bench DMM

For background, I teach Industrial Maintenance. Most of our work is done with little 2,000 count Handheld DMMs. They work fine for most things, but when we cover things like Op-Amp circuits, SCR Phase-Control, and Signal Amplifiers it’s nice to be able to see what voltage and current you REALLY have. This meter is not much more in cost than a handheld, but there are very few handhelds which have 66,000 counts! The ones that do like the Keysight U1280 series cost triple or more what this meter does. I love being able to connect it to the PC to collect data and display readings for my students. I love that all of the 4-wire terminals are on the front (some bench meters aren’t!). I love the Histogram, Trendline, and statistics built right into the unit! I wish the dual measurement option was a little better (it’s slow and the second measurement is displayed very small). I wish it would calculate power since it can read voltage and current at the same time. Overall, I’m very impressed and one day hope to have an SDM3065X just to see what it’s like owning one that accurate! Until then, this one works wonders.
