40 yr BSEE here. I have only used the sig gen one time so far, but I put it through several tests and the performance was flawless. and Learning curve was a snap. I have a Sig Oscilloscope and I am very impressed with the performance of both. Definitely would recco to hobbyists and pros alike. Value to price is great!

Very impressed with this function generator. Outstanding as a multi-purpose signal gen, function generator, and arbitrary waveform generator. It has been able to do everything I needed and I haven't used the full feature list yet. Easy to see what it is doing and understand the displays. Really happy with the purchase and performance so far.

I never thought having this little device would be such a great addition to my test bench. I love the built in ethernet for transferring waveforms. Only disappointment is it no longer comes with software I had to hunt it down. I would recommend

Even Better Than I Thought

This little generator is the first I’ve owned that wasn’t a cheap Ebay DDS gen. I have to say I’m shocked at how much better this can be for not a ton more money. I love the built-in Ethernet, which makes it easy to download arbitrary waveforms from the PC and control the generator from my oscilloscope for Bode plots without moving cables. Speaking of downloading waveforms, the included PC software works great and it pretty easy to use. There are a good amount of built-in waveforms and I love that you can mix the channels internally to super-impose noise on a signal, etc. With a little work and a thumb drive, you can even record a waveform with your oscilloscope and replay it with this generator which has been extremely useful for me as an instructor. I can record from damaged equipment in the field and bring those waveforms back into my classroom for demonstration without actually having to damage my lab equipment to see the same result! Overall I’ve been extremely happy and look forward to one day purchasing another one (which will synchronize with this one) so I can do three-channel demonstrations for three phase power analysis.
