SCS Dri-Shield 3400 Series Moisture Barrier Bags - High Barrier Foil
SCS Dri-Shield Moisture Barrier Bags are intended to protect electronic items such as Surface Mount Devices (SMD's) from moisture and electrostatic damage during manufacture, transportation, and storage. They protect their contents with specialized layers of film that control the Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR). Surface mount devices need to be kept dry between the time of manufacture and the point of reflow soldering.
The SCS Dri-Shield 3400 Series foil moisture barrier bag provides protection for ESD-sensitive and moisture-sensitive electronics, typically SMT (Surface Mount Technology) items. Best practice is to use with Desiccant and a Humidity Indicator Card. The bags are heat sealable and suitable for vacuum packaging. Bags are printed with ESD protective and moisture-sensitive warning symbols, and a lot of code for traceability. SCS Moisture Barrier Bags Dri-Shield 3400 are manufactured from a laminate of polyester, foil, and polyethylene. The metal layer provides discharge shielding and minimizes the penetration of electric fields and electrostatic discharges.
