Dri-Shield 2700 Series Moisture Barrier Bags - High Puncture Resistant
SCS Dri-Shield Moisture Barrier Bags are intended to protect electronic items such as Surface Mount Devices (SMDs) from moisture and electrostatic damage during manufacture, transportation, and storage. They protect their contents with specialized layers of film that control the Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR). Surface mount devices need to be kept dry between the time of manufacture and the point of reflow soldering.
The SCS Dri-Shield 2700 aluminized moisture barrier bag is designed to provide packaging for ESD and moisture sensitive items, both inside and outside an ESD protected area. A stronger polyester layer helps to prevent sharp trays from puncturing the bag. The bags are heat sealable and suitable for vacuum packaging. Bags are printed with ESD and moisture warning symbols and a lot of code for traceability. SCS Dri-Shield 2700 Series moisture barrier bags are manufactured from a laminate of multiple layers of aluminized polyester and polyethylene. Polyester provides puncture resistance. Metal layers are intended to provide shielding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and to help minimize the penetration of electric field while providing moisture protection.
