Way overpriced but a must-have

A peice of moulded plastic this size is never worth $80, even if it is solidly made, which it is. Five stars for the product itself, three stars for the price. For what it is, I'm happy with the scope cover, it servers its purpose. The price point is right around where there's no net savings in printing a DIY 3D equivalent. So if you need one, you might as well just buy it, unless modeling and printng your own scope cover happens to be one of those things on your bucket list. For me, the scope cover is a must-have. My work area being the the mess it is, and with ample opportunity abound for accidentally smashing the scope front end with any number of sharp and/or heavy blunt objects, I consider the $80 I paid to be more of an insurance policy than a functional purchase.

Expensive, but what's protecting your scope worth

This cover is expensive, but it is very good quality, fit and finish. I carry my scope in a tool bag and this cover protects the screen from scratches and damage to the buttons. You only need to buy once, it costs less than the taxes on your scope.
