The RPL1115 Work But Has Issues
3.0
I've been using the RPL1115 for a couple of years, now. It works fine, except if you need to use 8 inputs, either D0-D7, or D8-D15. If so, only 7 would work. You could use one on the other channel for the one that does not work. But, if you need all 16, you will get only 14 to work.

Best Bang for the Buck
5.0
Or one could say the knee in the curve. for almost all embedded computing work, this is the best deal on the market. Enough Analog to see what is being measured, Signal generation capability to support testing most edge cases and enough digital to trace and trap errors.

Best value scope on the market
5.0
I have been using scopes since the 1970's. I am now retired but electronic is still my hobby. This scope is one of 3 that I have and by far its features exceed the others. The built in signal generator is a nice addition also.

Great value. Lots of features. Frustratingly slow controls, like scrubbing around and re-sizing waveform's can have over a second of latency from turning a knob to seeing the screen change. Otherwise nice piece of equipment .

Great product, good enougu for a hobbist
5.0
For a hobbist, I needed an all-in-one solution, just for simplicity. So this product line-up is really what I wanted, 4 channels, enough bandwidth (for me), logic analyzer, signal generator, fancy trigger options and serial comm decodings.... I could go on and on.... I wish I bought this earlier! Choose what you need, but for me this is really great bang for my buck!

The best oscilloscope on the market for this price.
5.0
The Rigol ds1104z oscilloscope has been in use for 3 years. Great device, maybe the best for this price. Very high speed for such a price, faster than the old Tektroniks 1000 or 200, 3000 series, perhaps the closest new analog of the Tektroniks DPO2024B but the price for this oscilloscope starts at $ 3000 in a similar configuration ...
Works with a periodic signal up to 400Mhz!
200Mhz can be watched without problems and even explored and tuned something on it, at frequencies of 100-150Mhz it is an ideal device.
Really good is "UltraVision" and memory.
Synchronization is not just fast, but an instant.
It makes little noise at high sensitivity, but it was difficult to check whether it was programmatically done or actually so, there would be no problems with the 0.001V signals.
The menus are quick, buttons, knobs, you can’t find fault, everything is done at a high level.
The display is large, easy to read from wide angles.
I highly recommend this oscilloscope, you will never regret this purchase.

Unlock the potential to do mixed signal analysis!
5.0
This nifty option puts the 1104Z Plus scope as the best little bargain in mixed signal analysis. Well within the range of even the tightest budgets, this little probe set unlocks the mysteries of the digital domain while still allowing you the 4 analog channels at the same time! Very hard to beat this combo for double the price!

A lot of bang for the buck
4.0
It is really hard to beat the features packed into this little scope - some of them only found on much higher priced models. The upside is the feature list. The biggest downside is the small screen, which would have been fine if there were a monitor port.
Four channels plus a logic analyzer, plus FFT? Seriously? For the bandwidth it's really hard to beat. As a general purpose workhorse there aren't any scopes which match the performance vs cost.

A great general purpose instrument
5.0
The learning curve for the interface is not too bad but do plan on spending time working your way into real productivity. The signal generator works well and no issues with the included passive probes. Have not tried the logic analyzer yet but will be using it for debugging the software driving Raspberry Pi interfacing.

Hobbyist
4.0
As I am, what I consider myself to be an amateur hobbyist; I am just getting my feet wet and familiar with this machines capabilities. So far this scopes has constantly been a step well above what I've been attempting to acheive. I'm just learning this machine at a moderate rate at this time, so I can get a real grasp on it's full capabilities. So far, an excellent investment, as I continue to explore farther into the electronics world and signaling. Hard to wait for the purchase I plan on making with the MSO upgrade(RPL1116 Standard logic probe). This may be the "ringer" in my toolbelt. Stay tuned, and patient. I'll have further updates as we move forward.

Digital Nirvana
5.0
The RPL1116 digital logic probe allows you to capture 16 digital channels simultaneously with your analog channels on a Rigol MSO1000Z family of scopes. This is a great addition to my DS-1104Z-S Plus scope. You'll never truly understand serial digital interfaces unless you can literally see them in action. This probe takes such interfaces out of the realm of books and theory and places them firmly into the realm of visibility and reality.

What a great value!
5.0
Many thanks to Tequipment.NET and Rigol for the excellent value I received via my purchase of the Rigol DS1104Z-S Plus 100 MHZ MSO. Getting a scope with the UltraVision chipset and software, 4 analog channels, 16 digital channels, 24MPts of memory, Advanced Triggering, Serial IO and Record/Playback options, all for well under $1,000 is a really great value. I love this scope - there's so many options and features to ensure you won't soon outgrow it, if ever. Tequipment has many such great value deals.
Next on the agenda - a 2Ghz spectrum analyzer and a 500Mhz MSO.

Great value for hobbyist
5.0
As a recently retired electrical engineer, and having spent the last few decades at a desk, I am savoring going back to hands-on electronics projects. I expect this compact instrument provides all the signal-generation and measurement/analysis capabilities I may need for my projects in the foreseeable future. I am happy with the solid feel of the controls and the package overall. My prior experience is with analog scopes in the last century. So after a few weeks using it I'm comfortable with its oscilloscope functions, but I still have a way to go on the learning curve for all of its SW features.
I have good words about TEquipment. On receiving my unit I discovered I had mistakenly ordered the "wrong" model. In short, I was promptly connected to real people, and they handled my exchange for the "right" model painlessly.

I Love This Scope
5.0
Let me start by saying that I’ve been building electronic things since I was 8 years old. In 1972 I sent four simultaneous phone conversations over a HE laser for my science fair project. Over recent years I have constructed a nice shop with areas for SMD work including a nice microscope, PCB etching, lathe, mill, 3D printer, SDR lab and software development (Rift with C#, Arduino, Pi and 8266). However, I’ve been limping along in my electronics lab using an old Tektronix 2216 with one blown channel.
Over the past year I’ve been looking at the new digital scopes but since I like to buy at the upper end of the hobbyist line of equipment, the scopes I wanted were still hard to justify; the old 2216 would still power on. That is, until I saw that Rigol was offering their software bundle upgrade for FREE. Suddenly I could have a four channel, 100 Mhz scope with deep memory, advanced triggering, waveform record/replay and serial bus decoding plus two 25 Mhz signal generators for under $900. AND it is port ready to add the logic analyzer probe when I’m ready. You can check out the many online reviews of each feature so I won’t bore you with that.
I ordered it.
It arrived in a few days nicely packed and, after calibrating the four included probes I set about pushing buttons. Mind you, I have NO experience with a modern digital scope but after an hour or so I felt very comfortable negotiating my way around the scopes functions. I then took one of the two included BNC/BNC cables and connected a signal generator to channel one and experimented with waveforms and the advanced triggering options. I also used the emailed information to license all the features of the, did I mention free advanced options. Later, after my elation subsided, I sat down at my computer and actually read the 250 page user’s manual which taught me quite a few nuances and shortcuts.
I LOVE THIS SCOPE!!
If you’re still reading this, what are you waiting for? Buy the Rigol DS1104Z-S Plus; it’s a purchase that I guarantee you won’t regret.

Great scope with a few minor software frustrations
4.0
This is a great little high quality scope for the money.
It has a significant number of standard features, an amazing memory depth, and 4 channels for sub $1000! It's an even better deal on tequipmen.nett since they were including the optional license for free w/the scope!.
I didn't give the scope 5 stars because there are a few minor soft-issues. If Rigol would fix these w/a firmware update, I would give the Scope 5 stars.
1) There is no way to hide the on screen menus. It's also unfortunate there isn't a dedicated back button. If you need to go back you have to scroll to the next menu to find the back soft-button. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if Rigol choose to always displayed the back soft-button even when there is more than one page on a menu.
2) I have been unable to find a way to manually enter many of the scopes parameters levels outside of using the level adjustment knobs. IE, horizontal/vertical position, and trigger level. Nor change between coarse and fine adjustment on these knobs. It would be AMAZING if there was an option to manually enter a specific level for these parameters using a soft menu.
