Outstanding for Fine Tuning & Load Monitoring

After hooking up 4 different multi-meters to the output, it was clear that only a well-calibrated multi-meter would tell the truth about millivolts, what I really like about it is the milliamps side of things, where I can monitor very small currents, and much more easily measure current-saving modes of my circuit boards. It is pretty certain that it isn't accurate right down to the 3rd digit, but what IS REALLY nice is that I believe it shows relative differences VERY well. I would purchase it again any time.

High resolution option for the Rigol DP832

The high resolution option is a nice addition to the power supply. This allows monitoring and control to within 1 milli-volt and 1 milli-amp.

Handy feature. I have no problems reading the screen with the extra digit enabled. Registration through RIGOL is slightly painful and inputting the code takes a few minutes, but that can't be avoided!

The extra digit option is a useful add-on for the DP832. Although the accuracy of the voltage output is not precisely what is displayed on-screen, having the extra digit is useful to check output stability and fine-tune the voltage output. I would however recommend checking or monitoring the actual voltage output with a decent Fluke multimeter. Regardless, I find this a good add-on.

The supply is not really accurate to 1mV. It responses /_ 1mV, but not necessarily on the requested value.

The display on the DP832 is hard enough to read, let alone adding another digit.
