LOVE my new RIGOL DL3021A!!!
5.0
It is my second Rigol product this year and this RIGOL DL3021A did not disappoint. It is easy to use and I love the design and now my lab is getting very close to be complete! One more Rigol product I like to get in 2021 is Rigol Oscilloscope 5000 series. Always buy little more than you think you need! As I say, one more button that does something the other products can't is a great investment!

Good DC Load that can save time and help your designs.
5.0
The Rigol DL3021 series Electronic Load is a very capable unit. I upgraded from an “off brand” unit that worked but did not have many features. Features I really like and use a lot are:
• Battery test application. This feature is a real time saver. Automatically calculates battery capacity and has ability to stop test by time, current or voltage. I have to perform battery testing with the safety circuit disabled and I can set the termination voltage to stop the test. Nice. Have had a couple of lithium batteries blow because I was not watching the voltage carefully. This solves the that problem.
• Toggle and Pulse modes. This is a real help in verifying overload capability of your DC/DC designs.
• Easy logging of data to a USB thumb drive.
• “View” made which can show basic performance of the device you are testing without needing to attach a scope.
The unit has performed well and have no major complaints. Does have a couple of minor firmware quirks that could be easily solved with a firmware update. I am using 1.04.

Decent DC Load.
4.0
The DC load is a great device. I don't mind the ergonomics of the load. There is some small firmware issues that I was told by Rigol that they are working on. In battery mode when using firmware 1.0.4 will fail to start on occasion. This can be worked around by restarting the test. The recording on the memory card and PC software could be a bit more polished as there is some quirky issues. Overall it is a good DC load.

Great programmable DC load.
5.0
My 2nd DC load. First one did the job, but this one is far more Capable. Very accurate and easier to use. Espically like the built in apps I.e. battery testing. Interface is takes a few monikers to get accuanried with it otherwise pretty straight forward. Only down side is the fan is a tad on the loud side.

I really like it
5.0
Though I don't know how to use all the features of this Load, It works great for my needs. I use it to load test power supplies and battery life of my LiPo packs. Even though the machine is rated to 200W, it will do considerably more than that.

Good 1st release
4.0
As far as I can tell this programmable load was launched in January 2017. For a 1st release they did a great job. It has a battery test mode that works very well. I have weeks worth of battery tests lined up for it and it making good progress. I also like the configurable modes, so that I can set a base drain on a battery, then set pulses that represent radio transmission of the final equipment.
The device software just needs a way to save the logs to the USB drive and I'll be happy with the device.
The unfinished part is the PC software. I've found it drops the network connection after a few hours. The software is a bit limited, I'd like it to produce a test report for example. I was using it to log data, but with the instability its not that useful yet.
All told, very much worth the money and it's going to have paid for itself within a month.
