Li-ion Rechargeable Battery Pack
The 801B-012 Li-ion battery pack is rated at 2400mAh with a nominal output voltage of 3.7V. It is designed for use in the PRS-801B and PRS-812B Resistance Meters. The battery pack has to be charged in the instrument.
Battery Life Indicator
Within the battery pack, a microcontroller keeps a record of the charge condition of the battery on the LCD display. The display of the PRS-801B and PRS-812B uses a battery status icon that contains 5 segments, each representing approx. 20% of a full charge.
The battery pack takes between 2 and 3 hours of charge time to reach full charge when the meter is turned off. When fully charged, the batteries provide approximately 8,000 measurements.
Charge the Battery Pack without Removing it from the Meter
The correct battery charger for the 801B-012 is the Prostat 800B-001 Power Supply with the 800B-002 USB 2.0 Cable.
Traveling with a Spare Battery Pack
The 801B-012 battery packs have been tested and were found to comply with the criteria of “UN Model Regulations, Manual of Test and Criteria, ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.7 Part III, subsection 38.3”, also known as “UN38.3”. If you plan on traveling with a spare 801B-012 battery pack, per FAA regulations, you must keep the spare Li-Ion battery pack in your carry-on baggage in the aircraft cabin.
