Precision Brand® Laminated Stainless Steel Shim is made from an annealed 300 Series Stainless. It is of Composition 3, Type 1, and Class 2. Fully Laminated Shim is made by using pressure and resin or adhesive to bond metal shim together, which creates a rigid one piece item that appears to function as a single solid metal sheet or plate. It can remove layers by peeling away with a pocket knife to the desired thickness. Sheets are uniform from edge to edge and can be cut, sawed, stamped, milled, or bored to almost any configuration. Bonding adhesive makes for just right peeling, no tearing or ripping of the layers.
