Ultrasonic Thickness Meter with Adjustable Ultrasound Velocity
The PCE-TG 50 is an ultrasonic thickness meter that measures the thickness of homogenous materials up to 200 mm (7.87 inches) with adjustable ultrasound velocity from 800 to 9950 m/s. A standard 5 MHz sensor probe is included. Additional probes are available and sold separately. The use of contact gel or paste is required. One container of contact gel is included. The probe directs ultrasonic waves through the coupling gel into the material to be tested. Different materials conduct ultrasound at different speeds or velocities; the PCE-TG 50 allows for ultrasound velocity adjustments to accommodate a wide variety of material testing applications.
With the PCE-TG 50 ultrasonic material thickness meter, you can determine the thickness of metal, glass, plastic and other homogeneous materials in seconds. Operation of the meter is easily carried out via the user-friendly seven button interface. The measured values are displayed on the four-digit LCD screen. Measured values can be transferred to a computer using optional software and connection cable (sold separately). The software also makes it possible to export the data into Microsoft Excel.
The device can be calibrated with minimal effort on site or in the field with the integrated calibration block and user-friendly calibration procedure.
