Mountz 076656 - 1/4" F/Hex, FG-8i IFR Preset Torque Screwdriver w/Red Label
The Mountz 076656 The error-proofing torque screwdriver is engineered with a cam-over mechanism that prevents over-torque. These screwdrivers are fitted with an IFR (Impact Free Resetting) cam that eliminates any slight reaction occurring during the screwdriver's resetting, which is ideal for assembling shock-sensitive components. Preset hand torque screwdrivers are suitable for fastening applications where operators repeatedly assemble parts at the same torque setting. As a quality control tool, the screwdriver allows any user to deliver the correct torque with confidence regardless of task and operator skill level. Using a quality torque screwdriver ensures that proper torque is being applied and maintains requirements associated with ISO quality standards.
The torque screwdriver is preset to the required torque value of the application. A preset torque screwdriver does not feature an external adjustment scale. These tools have an internal adjustment mechanism for setting the torque value and must be preset internally using a hex key and a torque tester. However, if the torque specification changes or a new project requires a different torque setting, the preset torque screwdriver is still flexible enough to set a new torque setting internally using a torque analyzer.
- Reduced bit wear lowers the incidence of bits falling out, which can slow production or cause product damage.
- The screwdriver is torque limiting and calibrated in the CW direction only.
- Ergonomic handles are designed with fewer flutes and larger recesses to make the tools easier to hold, less likely to cause hand fatigue and make drivers easier to clean.
- Enable quick and error-free tool and torque setting identification with four different color-coding label options.
- Two-year unlimited warranty.
- Lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.
- The new design improves serviceability, reduces downtime, and enables the replacement of individual parts to extend the life of your investment.
- Mountz extensive Cmk testing happened over 20,000 continuous torque readings and is documented in a Mountz-authored technical whitepaper.
