Mitutoyo Individual Rectangular Gage Blocks - Steel:
- Available in steel and CERA and blocks
- Specific, repeated heat treatment of steel blocks reduces deterioration change over time
- CERA blocks are free from dimensional change over time; have 10 times the abrasion resistance of steel gage blocks
- Advanced lapping techniques achieve the best flatness, and surface roughness needed for gage blocks
- Black characters on gage blocks are inscribed by laser and clearly visible
- Provided with Inspection Certificate
Accuracy - Mitutoyo has established a traceability system for measurement products, up to the Metrology Management Center of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and has been certified by the Japanese government as an accredited laboratory.
Wringing - The Mitutoyo advanced lapping technique, developed for more than a half-century by Mitutoyo, achieves the best flatness and surface roughness needed for gage blocks.
Steel Blocks - The Mitutoyo steel gage blocks are constructed of high-carbon, high-chrome steel. High-carbon, high-chrome steel is employed to sufficiently satisfy a variety of material characteristics required for gage blocks. A high degree of hardness, obtained by Mitutoyo heat treatment technology, as well as methodically repeated heat treatment, has successfully reduced deterioration change over time.
