The Mitutoyo Inch Square Gage Block Sets offer exceptional precision and great versatility for a wide range of measurement applications including cutting tool positioning, angle measurement with a sine bar, taper measurements with a roller, and inspection of depth micrometers. The square gage block retains stable orientation both longitudinally and laterally, and they are available in different grades, sizes and steps.
The Mitutoyo innovative lapping technique makes these gage blocks some of the most accurate and trusted instruments in the world, featuring exceptional flatness and ideal surface roughness. Mitutoyo steel gage blocks are constructed of high-carbon and methodically heat treated repeatedly for a high degree of hardness to reduce deterioration over time. The CERA gage blocks are constructed of ceramic materials with superior surface qualities and corrosion resistance for exceptional durability and reduced deformation.

Features and Benefits of Mitutoyo Square Gage Blocks
1. Perfect wringing is possible using center hole - After wringing the square gage blocks, an optional tie rod can be inserted through the center hole to fix the blocks using a screw
2. Height reference standard can easily be made - A precision height reference standard can be made easily and inexpensively using accessories such as the plain jaw and block base
3. A dedicated inspection jig can be made easily - A dedicated inspection jig for periodic inspection of instruments can be made easily and inexpensively
4. A wide measuring surface with cross section dimensions of (24.1 x 24.1mm / .95 x .95in) is available - A square gage block can retain stable orientation both longitudinally and laterally. A wide range of application measurements can be made, including cutting tool positioning, angle measurement with a sine bar, taper measurement with a roller, and inspection of depth micrometers
Accuracy - Mitutoyo has established a traceability system for measurement products, up to the Metrology Management Center of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and have been certified by the Japanese government as an accredited laboratory.
Steel Blocks - The Mitutoyo steel gage blocks are constructed of high-carbon, high-chrome steel. High-carbon, high-chrome steel is employed to sufficiently satisfy a variety of material characteristics required for gage blocks. A high degree of hardness, obtained by Mitutoyo heat treatment technology, as well as methodically repeated heat treatment, have successfully reduced deterioration change over time.
