The OmniTest 10 Touch is a twin-column universal testing machine (UTM) designed for tensile and compression testing of materials, products, and components. The OmniTest 10 Touch has a load capacity of 10 kN. The OmniTest Touch models run on a responsive touchscreen console driven by the powerful and intuitive VectorPro testing software. This fully integrated version makes a convenient and easy-to-use, standalone solution for implementing quality assurance standards across all industries.

The twin-column OmniTest is available in three frame sizes with load ratings of 10 kN, 25 kN, and 50 kN. These all-purpose UTMs are ideal for testing stiff materials requiring higher loads, for long-elongation, low-force tests, and for mounting larger specimens that cannot easily be accommodated on single-column test frames.

VectorPro is dedicated software for use with the OmniTest range of universal testing machines. It enables and stores test routines, acquires data from load sensors and displacement encoders then performs calculations on the data before generating test results for export and reporting.

The OmniTest Touch is delivered with a touchscreen console with pre-installed VectorPro testing software for an integrated solution. Your configuration is automatically detected, and the software guides you through the whole process with only the relevant parameters presented.

The OmniTest Touch features a touchscreen controller which has been designed as an alternative to a desktop or laptop PC. It provides full PC capability, operating with Microsoft Windows, specifically optimized for and pre-installed with Mecmesin’s VectorPro software, making it ready for immediate use with the OmniTest. For convenience and flexibility, it is attached directly to the side of the test stand column and can be tilted or rotated for optimum ease of viewing.

Designed specifically for ease-of-use and precision when selecting test parameters, a simple and convenient control panel ensures easy selection of display parameters and a precise jog-control for quick crosshead positioning.

The OmniTest universal testers use Mecmesin's range of high-resolution precision Enhanced Load Sensors (ELS) to record tensile and compressive loads. A precision loadcell connects directly to an OmniTest or MultiTest-dV stand and communicates with VectorPro MT software, enabling sophisticated test routines for materials testing applications.

The ELS range of interchangeable tension and compression loadcells is specially adapted to the OmniTest universal testers. They can also be used when upgrading a MultiTest-dV stand to become a MultiTest-dV(u) materials tester.

To ensure that you have the optimum selection to meet your tension and compression testing needs, eighteen different models are available to cover the range from 2 N up to 50 kN. 

The OmniTest test frames use as standard an internal displacement encoder to measure crosshead movement. For measuring tensile strain more accurately an extensometer can be connected directly to the test specimen to enable the precise calculation of material properties.

Short travel contact extensometers are available for stiff materials like metals, reinforced composites and rigid plastics. Long-travel contact extensometers are best suited for highly extensible materials such as elastomers, semi-rigid plastics and films.

An extensive range of tensile grips, compression jigs and test accessories are available for use with all models of the OmniTest. For ease-of-use, grips can be connected to the test stand and loadcell via threaded or quick-change adaptors.
