Small Cable Cam Grip, Smooth, 1 kN, 10-32 UNF Thread
Designed for holding insulated cables and wire. The specimen is secured by the cam, which self-tightens as the load is applied and spreads the load evenly.
Smooth cams are preferable for materials where a serrated cam may bite into the material and create an artificial break when tensile testing up to 1 kN.
Max. specimen width 13mm.
The body is fitted with a clearance hole and is supplied with a 10-32 UNF cap-head screw for mounting to the base of a test stand.
Applications
Used for general purpose tensile testing of:
- Crimped terminals
- Tapes
- Foils
- Wires
