Extension Rod w/ Thumbwheel, 30mm, 2.5 kN, 5-16 UNC
Extension rods are used to add length to a fixture often to prevent the specimen from making contact with the gauge/loadcell e.g. when compressing a plunger into a cylinder. They are also used to connect a force gauge or load cell to a grip or fixture e.g. a wedge grip or test hook. The thumbwheel or locking nut is used to secure the grip in the correct orientation - care should be taken not to overtighten when using with low capacity gauges and loadcells.
30mm long Extension Rod 5-16 UNC female to 5-16 UNC male. Fitted with knurled thumbwheel for locking accessory in the correct orientation.
