Good flux but terrible bottle

The childproof cap takes 10x more downforce and torque to remove than the built-in gripper provides. It's nearly impossible to get the cap off if any dries on the thread or cap area. I HAVE to get a different bottle since it won't open even under extreme force. I wouldn't buy again until they fix the bottle.

Doesn't Evaporate / Cleanup Needed

This is good flux in that it doesn't evaporate when trying to use it on a board. Because of that, afterwards, I'd recommend using some flux cleaner to remove the sap-like residue.

As one of the other reviewers said, this cap is a bear to get off. Also, you need a good way to get this onto the solder surfaces. I'm leary of qtips, as strands of the qtip may come off. You may want to consider getting a flux dispenser bottle, like the Weller FD2D.

This flux seems to work well. It flowed well across the pads and the solder joints flowed quickly and came out nice. It's thin enough to despense with a needle bottle but doesn't seem to be too thinned out with solvent. My only complaint would be that the child proof cap has to be pushed on so hard to get it to lock and open that I thought I might damage the cap or bottle opening it.

Not watered (actually alcohol) down!

This is potent folks, I compared it side by side with other liquid fluxes, and they were all lighter in color. A lot of the other cheaper fluxes are 50% alcohol, not this formulation, it does the job really well of cleaning copper contact surfaces, priming them or soldering. You really have to treat this stuff with respect, because the fumes, although sweet in smell, will leave you feeling a sick. Get a proper fume extractor or maybe at least a desk fan to blow them away. Nothing wrong with the other brands, it's just that this stuff does the job a lot better, but with added risk, a fair trade off. Great stuff, probably the best RMA flux on the market.
