The Loctite 1661548 is a compact UV wand curing system that can operate in manual, timed, or cycle shutter modes. It features a powerful mercury arc lamp providing up to 15 watts/cm² and can be controlled by an external PLC. With a small footprint and lightweight design, the system includes a shutter operated by a reliable rotary solenoid. An internal dichroic mirror minimizes heat transmission from "waste energy" while allowing critical UV light to pass. For safety, a light guide interlock switch prevents accidental UV exposure if the light guide is not installed, and the light guide receptacle with a screw lock ensures proper balancing of multi-pole light guides without needing an additional balancing adapter.
