Leica 650i XF Electrician's Bundle with Digicat 650i XF Locator, Digitex 100t XF Transmitter, Bag, Signal Clamp
The Leica DIGICAT 650i xf integrates data logging capabilities and bluetooth technology with additional low tracing frequencies.
Tracing and recording the position of underground utilities before excavation work can help prevent operator injury, asset damage risks or any subsequent costs. The intelligent Leica DIGICAT 650i xf cable locators have additional low tracing frequencies making them ideal for locating and tracing buried utilities over long distances. They deliver visibility of cable locating activities, provides users with evidence of compliance to industry best practice.
Unmatched ease-of-use and visibility of locating results
With Automatic Pinpointing there is no need for you to manually adjust the sensitivity of your DIGICAT cable locator ensuring you're using the optimum sensitivity for the environment you are detecting the underground utilities in. Reducing the likelihood of human error and ultimately saving you time and money.

The Leica DIGICAT 650i xf Series cable locators record and store how and when your cable locator has been used. The data collected can then be easily transferred via Bluetooth to your PC, Android mobile phone or tablet, using Leica’s LOGiCAT software. It provides you with visibility of locating activities enabling identification of training needs and providing traceability of locating activities following a near miss or utility strike.
Improved accuracy and application scope
To achieve improved accuracy and application scope use the DIGICAT cable locators in conjunction with a DIGITEX 100t xf or 300t xf signal transmitter and/or the Digisystem accessories.
Estimating the depth of the underground infrastructure improves utility locating accuracy and data range. To get a depth estimation you can use the DIGICAT 650i xf cable locator and a DIGITEX 100t xf or 300t xf signal transmitter.
The Leica Digicat 750i xf, 650i xf and a GIS field controller, such as the Leica Zeno 10 or 15 offer a simple and cost effective solution to utility contractors who are looking to survey and map underground infrastructure such as cables and pipe-work.
The Digicat 750i xf, 650i xf and Digitex signal transmitter are used to provide a depth reading to the centre of the cable or pipe to be surveyed. The depth reading is then transferred to the field controller via Bluetooth® connectivity where the geographical position is added by Leica Zeno field software.
Additional images and comments can be included as part of the survey process including:
- The type and size of utility
- Date and time of the survey
- Maintenance requirements
- Surveyors site notes
Providing a full data capture facility
Leica Digitex Signal Transmitters
Leica Digitex signal transmitters deliver significantly higher power than previous models. This improved performance will allow users to:
- Trace utilities over a greater distance
- Improve utility detection in areas of high signal interference
- Improve depth estimation when using a depth locator
|
Direct Connection
Connect the Digitex to a conductive utility such as a valve, stop tap or other access point. |
|
Signal Clamp Connection
A signal clamp is used to apply the Digitex signal to a pipe or live electricity cable. Supply is not interrupted by the signal and the operator is not exposed to any live utility. |
|
Induction
The Digitex induces a tracing signal into the buried pipe or cable. This is a quick and convenient method when direct connection or signal clamping is not possible. |
