Keysight N7020A / N7024A Power Rail Probes
The Keysight N7020A and N7024A power rail probes are designed for power integrity measurements such as Periodic and Random Disturbances (PARD), static and dynamic load response, and programmable power-rail response. Many of today’s products have tighter tolerances on their DC power rails than the previous generations of these products, and these power rail probes are designed to help users assure their products meet these tighter tolerances.
These probes have an output connector with the Keysight AutoProbe 1 interface that allows these probes to connect directly to a compatible Keysight oscilloscope. The oscilloscope’s AutoProbe interface provides the probe power, probe offset, and auto-configuration of probe type and attenuation setting on connection. A variety of accessories are shipped with these probes to suit various DUT connection scenarios and to make the connection to DUT possible in the most difficult-to-reach situations as well.
Keysight N7024A Power Rail Probes Features:
- Low noise: 1.3:1 attenuation ratio probe adds only 30% to the baseline noise of the oscilloscope
- Large offset range: ± 15.25 V of probe offset. This enables users to center the signal on the screen while placing the oscilloscope at its maximum vertical sensitivity and zoom in on the signal.
- Low DC loading: 50 kΩ input impedance at DC, minimizing the probe’s DC loading of the power rail.
- Large input dynamic range: +/- 600 mV input dynamic range means that users can measure up to ± 850 mV deviations of their DC supplies. This is very useful for measuring programmable supplies like those used in microcontroller power-saving modes.
