The Keysight N6786A is a source/measure unit (SMU) designed specifically for functional test of the internal components of large mobile, battery-powered devices up to 20 V, up to 8 A, up to 80 W.

Keysight offers several SMU modules for use with its N6700 low-profile modular power systems or N6705 DC power analyzers.

The ability to modulate the output up to 100 kHz along with 2-quadrant operation makes the N6782A and N6786A a perfect fit for advanced functional test of a variety of devices such as DC/DC converters, power management units, power amplifiers, and power management ICs (PMICs) from 20 W to 80 W.

Stimulate the input stage of your DUT with fast sourcing and waveforms up to 100 kHz using the advanced arbitrary waveform generation feature.

The output stage can be loaded down and measured with the electronic load capabilities of the N6782A and N6786A, providing a total test solution.

The N6783A requires one of two options: N6783A-BAT or N6783A-MFG.

The Keysight N6783A-BAT battery charge/discharge module is a basic, 2-quadrant DC power module designed to be used by mobile device designers. Its 2-quadrant operation allows it to act as a programmable power supply to charge the battery or as a programmable electronic load to discharge the battery, all in one instrument.

The Keysight N6783A-MFG mobile communications DC power module offers advanced features specifically for testing battery-powered (mobile) devices in manufacturing or automated test environments.

• Four current programming ranges (3 A, 300 mA, 100 mA, and 10 mA) enables the N6784A to be a precise current source or electronic load down to μA.
