We handle every phase of development and production in-house, from design and electronics development to hardware, software, and PC simulations to CAD drafts, functional models, prototypes, and series production. We not only pre-fabricate mechanical elements, we also have our own powder treatment line and PCB assembly. Having control over these steps ensures consistently high quality and reliability.

1967: Founding
JULABO was founded in 1967 by owner and Managing Director Gerhard Juchheim.
1970s and 1980s:
Expansion and growth
1972:
JULABO introduced the first fully electronic laboratory circulator. JULABO garnered attention at the 1979 ACHEMA trade fair with new products, a new design, and introduction of an LED temperature display. In 1982 the company demonstrated direct measurement and control of an external system. We also presented a MULTI-DISPLAY LED with warning and safety functions.
The 1990s:
Innovation and global expansion
MICROPROCESSOR electronics were introduced in 1992. In 1993 we founded subsidiary JULABO USA. In 1994 JULABO received DIN ISO 9001 certification. Circulators of the new TopTech series permanently replaced analog technology. In the same year, we founded subsidiary JULABO JAPAN and two years later JULABO SINGAPORE. In 1997 circulators and temperature controllers of the HighTech series were launched.
1999:
JULABO introduces the first splash-proof MICROPROCESSOR water baths and shaking water baths. "ECONOMY" laboratory circulators with LED display make glass thermometers unnecessary. JULABO UK extends our presence to Great Britain.
Exploring markets of the future
2000:
JULABO ITALIA is founded. New Forte HT high-temperature circulators are introduced. In subsequent years we introduced the Presto LH Highly Dynamic Temperature Systems, a new line of laboratory circulators with three product series, a series of calibration baths, and the EH circulator series.
2004:
JULABO CHINA is founded.
2005:
JULABO KOREA is founded. In the same year we launched the new FL series of recirculating coolers and the CF series of Cryo Compact Circulators.
2007:
Markus Juchheim becomes co-Managing Director of JULABO. JULABO LATIN AMERICA is founded.
2009:
JULABO FRANCE gives us a presence in neighboring France.
2011:
JULABO introduces the first models of the new PRESTO generation. The design of these units and their color industry-grade touchpanel set new standards for Highly Dynamic Temperature Systems.
2014:
JULABO NEDERLAND and JULABO INDIA are founded.
2016:
Markus Juchheim is now the sole Managing Director at JULABO GmbH.
A street called Gerhard-Juchheim-Straße was created to honor Gerhard Juchheim´s long-term service to his company and the community. The Gerhard-Juchheim-Strasse1 in 77960 Seelbach is the new company address for JULABO GmbH effective immediately.
