The GDM-350B multimeter is a hand-held 3 1/2 digit multimeter with an advanced design, multiple functions and reliable performance. This meter is fully capable of measuring both AC and DC voltage, DC current, resistance, temperature, the forward voltage drop of diodes, transistors, hFE and continuity tests. The multi-purpose socket is used to measure SMTs as well.

The GDM-300/400 Series Hand Held DMM are a compact, high precision, battery operated multimeter series designed to meet most of the daily needs for design engineers as well as service engineers. The GDM-300/400 series design is driven by mobile-oriented features, such as automatic power down to preserve battery life, a large backlight display for crisp viewing, a rotary selector switch and clear-cut push buttons to ease operation.

The basic functions match the depth of bench-top multimeters: fuse-protected current input, true RMS for accurate AC measurements, Auto ranging, Duty cycle, and Relative mode. These compact, reliable, and economical devices are ideal for any engineer.

Great meter for a HS physics lab

We bought 10 of these to outfit one of our physics labs at our high school. Simple, inexpensive, and reasonably well built. Only downsides are that the thermocouple and semiconductor measurements require a bridge device (which is included, but something that will invariably get lost) and access to the fuses requires you to remove the back of the meter rather than being inside the battery compartment. Came with a respectable set of detachable probes. They look like they will handle our basic needs admirably and stand up to a few years punishment. If your is for a basic multimeter, at the price of this unit, it is really hard to go wrong.
