For Use with Radius BZ1 and RGX Gateway
Continuously power Radius BZ1 Area Monitors and RGX Gateways in a hazard or remote locations with the Solar Power Supply (SPS). The Solar Power Supply helps you minimize the cost and risk of charging and rotating equipment in dangerous, remote locations thanks to its continuous power supply, portability, and durability.
- Eliminate the need for charging or rotating equipment by continuously powering devices with the SPS
- Decrease the amount of time and labor needed to deploy and relocate solar-powered devices with SPS’s easy-to-move pieces
- Rugged, durable, and UL/CSA Class 1 Div 2 certified to ensure operational readiness in the harshest environments
Configuration options
The SPS will power one Radius BZ1 Area Monitor or one RGX Gateway, or any one of the following combinations:
- One Radius BZ1 and one RGX Gateway simultaneously
- Two Radius BZ1 area monitors simultaneously
- Two RGX Gateway units simultaneously
The SPS insert assembly supports the mounting of one compatible device of each type. When two compatible devices of the same type are being powered, one can be mounted on the SPS and one can be placed elsewhere, allowing the area monitor to be in the best place for gas detection and Solar Power Supply to be placed in the most optimal location for sunlight.
Environmental conditions
The Solar Power Supply features a NEMA 4X (enclosure) for outdoor usage. It is able to withstand up to 60 MPH side or headwinds, and up to 96 hours of salt fog.
It is recommended to have a daily minimum of four hours of direct sunlight to maintain the battery’s level of charge.
