The HoverCam HCS8S Solo 8 Spark Document Camera is a Chromebook compatible version of the leading document camera line constructed on the HoverCam Photon 1.0 Imaging Engine. It has a greater resolution, brilliant video quality, and a much more impressive zoom using patented ASR technology. In layman's terms, this is the perfect HoverCam ever created and it has a large shooting area of 13 x 21 inches. This is one of the biggest scan sizes in the industry. It also ships with impressive new software called Flex10. It is unlike any document camera.

The Solo 8 is the only camera that can bring the sensor's entirely 8.0MP resolution in each video frame, which is comparable to 4K resolution. The image is resized in real-time to modify to the screen's display resolution. True 8.0MP clarity or resolution is being delivered at a 30 frames-per-second speed. Over USB3.0, we give uncompressed YUV video 30fps. Over USB2.0, the video is easily compressed MJPEG 30fps. The new UVC processor chipset and electronic imaging components features bring ultra-high-definition video over SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and the older USB 2.0 standard at 30 frames/second. Solo 8's impressive new features and cutting-edge controls have never been recognized before in a USB document camera.

It is unlike any document camera

A dynamic ARM processor delivers as the Solo 8 Spark's brain and produces it an extremely intelligent small computer. When connected with the Flex 10 software, Solo 8 Spark manage an exceptionally great performance.

Real-time commands, responses, and computations take place among the host computer and the Solo 8 to devise the leading video delivery strategy for optimal bandwidth utilization, screen size adaptation, exposure control, focus control, color balancing and other advanced camera control functions. The leading architecture of the Photon 1.0 Imaging Engine makes the Solo 8 stand out in control flexibility and best performance.

You can use an iPad with the Solo 8 Spark

Considering your Hovercam is connected to the computer, you can open the Hovercam's software and manage it from your iPad. You would need to have the iPad and computer on the same network as this works through wifi. You wouldn't connect the Solo 8 to the iPad, instead, you'd manage it from your iPad. Using the Splashtop app, you can connect your iPad to your computer and manage it from the iPad's screen.
