Experience Ultra HD 4K Resolution
How do you improve on our best selling document camera?
It wasn't easy, but HoverCam has created its most powerful document camera to date by improving the design of the popular Solo 8 camera. With ultra-fast recording and superb image clarity, plus incredible Ultra HD resolution, this camera is now that much farther ahead of the competition. So, what is the difference between the Solo 8 and the new Solo 8Plus?
- The new Solo8+ features a 13 megapixels sensor - that's a big improvement over the 8MP Solo 8!
- Solo 8 Plus outputs uncompressed 4K resolution video at 30 fps. Since it's uncompressed, this is true 4k ultra high definition video.
- Solo 8 Plus has a “slow motion” video playback function.
- At lower resolutions, the Solo 8+ is really fast - it can shoot at 120 frames per second.
- Solo 8 Plus has a “time lapse” video recording function.
Now Compatible with iOS
The HoverCam HCS8+ Solo 8Plus is the world’s first digital document camera that features a lightning interface and is compatible with iOS devices. The Solo 8Plus continues the Solo 8’s ground-breaking USB 3.0 performance - the Solo8+ is powered by this USB connection. Plus, it now features a 13-Megapixel sensor and 4K video resolution with full motion.
Adaptive Sensor Resolution (ASR) Technology
The Solo 8 Plus document camera features unique adaptive sensor resolution (ASR) technology. This allows users to zoom without compromising image quality. At 30 frames per second, the Solo8+ can record and preview video at 4K resolution - that's 4224 x 3156 pixels. This is also the first 4K document camera to feature 120FPS "warp-speed" recording. This allows you to view video in smooth slow motion. On top of all this, the Solo 8 Plus works with HoverCam's camera view software to enable seamless lesson recording, time lapse video capturing, and scanning.
Stream Content Wirelessly via AirPlay
HoverCam recently debuted its battery-powered Clipper adapter for iPads. This is the first-ever Lightning port connector with MFi certification for a document camera. This will allow you to connect iPads to the Solo 8+. In addition, teachers can stream their students’ work wirelessly through AirPlay onto a projector or large HDTV panel. This effectively makes the SOlo 8 Plus a wireless document camera.
