Hipotronics Kilovoltmeters
A kilovoltmeter is used for measuring electrical potential difference between two points in a high voltage electric circuit. Calibration and voltage monitoring of high voltage systems is also possible with a kilovoltmeter. These meters can also be called high voltage meters.
Phenix manufactures kilovoltmeters in 100kV and 200kV varieties; these meters can measure in peak responding, peak value, true RMS, and average DC as well as the RMS value of DC ripple.
Vitrek also offers a high voltage meter than can measure up to 15kV standard or up to 100kV with a special test probe. All of these meters can measure both AC and DC current.
Features to consider when selecting a Kilovoltmeter
How much voltage can a kilovoltmeter handle? Phenix makes meters that can measure up to 200kV and Vitrek offers a maximum of 100kV.
Kilovoltmeter accuracy can change depending on whether AC or DC current is being measured and depending on the frequency of the signal being measured. Vitrek’s high voltage meter is extremely accurate
Phenix kilovoltmeters are NIST certified and feature a high voltage divider to produce partitioned output voltages. Phenix can also custom manufacture meters for voltages higher than 200kV. Vitrek’s high voltage meter also features a high voltage divider and the ability to select a measurement mode and bandwidth and then take over 40,000 readings per second. Vitrek meters also feature USB and Ethernet ports for full integration with printers and PCs
