Hioki clamp meters are best-in-class measuring devices incorporating Hioki's expertise in current sensing technology. The Hioki 3283 series are leakage current handheld clamp meters with a 10mA to 200A range and 10 μA resolution. Model 3283 has output capabilities for advanced monitoring on recording equipment, and Model 3283-20 complies with EN 61010-2-032:2012 Type A standards to measure uninsulated hazardous live conductors such as busbars.
Sharp Low-pass filter reduces harmonic currents.
Most clamp on meters, including the 3283, have no problems displaying the measurement of 50A loads.
But ordinary clamp meters cannot measure loads under 1A, unlike the 3283.
The 3283 provides 5 ranges of 10.00mA, 100.0mA, 1.000A, 10.00A, and 200.0A, enabling you to also measure leakage current with accuracy.
Activate the FILTER mode to check the current value with the same frequency level as a breaker's operational frequency band, without any effects from the high-frequency components of a switching power source or inverter equipment.
By specifying MAX in the REC (recording) mode, the current value on the display will be updated every time a maximum value is measured. You can then check the transformer capacity, and record the maximum load current.
Precisely record the current of the secondary side of CTs rated 5A or 1A and below. With ordinary clamp-on meters, large measurement errors result from inputs of only a few amps, and values are displayed inaccurately or simply suppressed to "0A".
Specify AVE in the REC (recording) mode to constantly calculate the average current, and to update the current value on the display. This is useful for recording fluctuating current values.
