WOW.. Hakko.. Well, just they had a "C" design team with nothing to do. This adapter, tweezers for the FX-888 series is real poor.. Junk.. For 200 dollars.. NO WAY.. Tips are expensive . You will get a better quality stand alone device on ebay from ASIA for 30 dollars shipped to your door.. Tips are junk, Tweezers do not align to each other, assembly is cheap build out of some type of plastic, Does not support the temp range of the FX-888 . Depends on YOU to make sure you do not stress device by not overheating. Good grief..

Hakko has never disappointed

I use this for surface mount discreet components in RF Work and it saves time and effort along with allowing for better quality work. I'm very pleased with this product. I've been using Hakko products for decades, and have never been disappointed. I currently own a rework station, portable station along with this accessory, and a standalone iron.

Useless. They come with a warning not to use the hot tweezers above 750F. The tweezers never get hot enough to remove anything. Also never buy anything from TEquipment.net. It took 8 Weeks to receive my order and the customer support people constantly lied to me about the shipment date and refused to cancel my order after it did not show up for 5 weeks.

Well with the purchase of the FX-888D W/FX-8801 Kit #3, I also purchased the FX-8804,Hot Tweezer Kit, Has become very helpful in my business as a Radio repair shop (CB-Armature)
With new equipment coming out with more smd construction in Electronics this is becoming a must have piece of equipment and has made my job much eraser over all. Thanks again TEquipment for providing quality equipment.

When I purchased this I only bought the Tweezer unit and holder. Now I have to buy a base as I find that I need both the tweezer and regular soldering iron at the same time. Oh well, very happy with the tool, tweezers are lightweight and easy to use. Would recommend this for both the Professional and Enthusiast.
